Hi, I am Yongbing Zhao (赵永兵 as in Chinese), a principal investigator at Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health (GIBH), Chinese Academy of Sciences.
I received my bachelor's degree of biotechnology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and doctorate degree of bioinformatics from Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After that, I completed postdoctoral training in Mayo Clinic and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Currently, I am utilizing both computational and experimental approaches to elucidate the global mechanism in transcriptional regulation, with a particular interest in the syntax behind the transcriptional cis-regulatory code and chromatin regulation in cell fate decisions. Meanwhile, I also develop computational algorithms and deep learning models to analyze and interpret multiomics data. The following image is the keywords cloud of my research interest.
